Join us on Sunday 22nd June at 7.00pm for a Grand Tour of Europe at our NEW venue, the Lancastrian Suite, Chorley.
Following our highly successful first year, with THREE sell-out concerts Preston Symphony Orchestra will be performing a selection of popular classical music from across Europe.
From the haunting opening phrase of Beethoven's Allegretto from his 7th Symphony (which featured in the 2010 film "The King's Speech"), to Khachaturian's Adagio (the love theme in the TV series "The Onedin Line") these beautiful pieces of music will take you on an unforgettable journey!!
Tickets will be going on sale Monday 9th December 2024 at 9am through Ticketsource.
SYMPHONY IN A DAY
We held a "Symphony in a Day" event on 9th February in Preston.
Everyone worked hard and thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
Our friends and Corporate Partners Porsche Preston very kindly hosted our first concert of the 2025 season at their showroom in Preston.
The evening broke at least two records -
Preston Symphony Orchestra are the first amateur orchestra in the UK to perform in a car showroom
AND
They are the first amateur orchestra in the UK to SELL-OUT their first FOUR CONCERTS in a row!!
The orchestra played a selection of beloved classical pieces and popular pieces from stage and screen.
The orchestra also launched its Corporate Sponsorship opportunities scheme, giving businesses 3 different ways they could support the orchestra.
The evening was a huge success with another standing ovation, enjoyed by all!
Thanks go especially to Amy Lancaster-Hall (Group Marketing Manager) and Jess O'Neill (Senior Marketing Executive) for their hard work and planning in supporting the orchestra and making the evening special!
Here is a selection of photos from the day.
Every time you shop if you scan this code you can help us raise funds to keep Preston's Symphony Orchestra going.
Thank you for your support.
